Hosanna in the Highest

Happy Palm Sunday!

Today we celebrate Jesus - Hosanna in the Highest.

Next Sunday, we celebrate His glorious Resurrection.

What will we do Monday-Friday and Saturday? Will we be like Peter and deny him? Will we be among the crowd that shouts Crucify Him? Will we stand at a distance like most who knew Him? Will we be like Simon of Cyrene and carry The cross for Him? Or perhaps, like John who was there to the end?

So many of us are willing to celebrate on Sundays but our actions on the days in between don’t reflect our Sunday Celebrations. We are facing a time like no other time I've witnessed. This world has basically been brought to a standstill. We are essentially held captive in our homes. Why is this happening? No one knows for certain. But could I propose that just perhaps, while we are at this pause, We should think about the hypocrisy we display as a people, a country, a nation, and as body of Christ.

How long can we continue to say that we love Christ on Sundays and hate our brothers Monday - Saturday? It is my prayer that this message resonate with the Jews and the Gentiles, the free and the enslaved, the rich and the poor, the liberals and the conservatives, the Democrats and the Republicans. STOP IT!
