God's Love for Me

Last year, I started a Thankful tree for this season. I invite you to join me over the next 14 days, as I exclaim to God why I am thankful.

Day 1: God’s Love for Me

John 4:16 And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them

I know that God’s love for me, has kept me through many situations, some good and some bad.

Although my love and my choices wavered in my earlier years, God’s love for me has always remained constant. He was always there for me. When I stepped out of His will, He loved me. When I made some awful decisions in my life, He loved me. When I decided that I was going to give my life to him completely, He loved me. I came to the realization, through the Word of God, that there was nothing that could separate me from the Love of Jesus Christ.

I also found out over time that it was much easier for me to live in HIS LOVE. The difference between now and then….Then, I didn’t know that He Loved me. Now, I know that He Loves me, still. I feel His love and I rely on His love when I am up, when I am down, and when it seems that I am out. His Love for me always points me back to Him, for that I am Thankful.

Prayer: Lord, Today I thank you for loving me, even when I didn’t deserve to be loved or even knew of your love. I am grateful that through the mistakes, the pain, the heartaches, and hurts, the victories and triumphs, You loved me still! I pray today that this LOVE will be found by those who are seeking to experience an unconditional LOVE. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
